S O L U T I O N :

Amount marked on handbag = Rs. 2400.

Now,

Value Added Tax(VAT) imposed on handbag will be,

18% of Rs. 2400

Now, simplifying it, we get,

= 18/100 × 2400

= 18 × 24

= 432

Therefore, The amount of VAT handbag on article is ₹ 432

Now,

As We know that,

Total amount of money need to be paid for handbag by a Sana will be,

Marked Price + VAT(Value Added Tax)

Substituting the values in the above formula, we get,

= 2400 + 432

= 2832

Therefore, the total amount Rs. 2832 Sana has to pay if she wants to buy it.
