1cm on a map represents 4000000

5cm on a map represents =5×4000000=20,000,000‬cm

1km=1000m

1m=100cm

∴1km=1000×100=100000cm

∴100000cm=1km

∴20,000,000‬cm=

100000

20,000,000‬

km=200km

Thus, the actual distance between two towns is 200km.

Answer:

Since,1cm=25000cm

1km=25000km

Therefore,

1)4.5km=4.5×25000

=112500km

2)1cm²=25000×25000cm

40cm²=40×25000×25000cm²

=25000000000cm²

100000×100000cm²=1km²

25000000000cm²=2.5km²
