Given:-

  • Side of equilateral triangle ,a = 8

To Find:-

  • Area of triangle ,A

Solution:-

According to the Question

we have to calculate the area of equilateral triangle .

As we know that each side in equilateral triangle is equal .

Area of equilateral triangle is calculated by the following formula.

  • A = 3/4

where,

  • A denote area of triangle
  • a denote side of triangle

substitute the value we get

:\implies A = 3/4 × 8²

:\implies A = 3/4 × 64

:\implies A = 3 × 16

:\implies A = 163 cm²

  • Hence, the area of triangle is 163 cm².

Given :-

  • Each side of an equilateral triangle is 8 cm

To Find :-

  • Area of the equilateral triangle.

Solution :-

❍ In order to find the area of an equilateral triangle we have to apply the following formula ::

\bigstar \;\; \boxed{\bf{ Area \;of\;equilateral\;triangle = \sqrt{\dfrac{3}{4}} \times a^{2}\; }}

Where,

  • a denotes side

Finding area of triangle :-

\sf : \; \implies Area  = \sqrt{\dfrac{3}{4}}  \times 8^{2}

\sf : \; \implies Area  = \sqrt{\dfrac{3}{4}}  \times 64

\sf : \; \implies Area  = \sqrt{3}  \times 16

\sf : \; \implies Area  = 16 \sqrt{3}  \; cm^{2}

Henceforth,

  • Area of the equilateral triangle is 16√3 cm²
