Area of shaded portion = Area of sector - Area of Right angled triangle.

Area of sector

=  \frac{\pi \times (7cm)^{2} }{4}

= 38.5cm

Area of triangle

= \large\frac{1}{2} ×(7cm)×(7cm)

= 24.5cm²

Thus Area of shaded portion

= (38.5−24.5)cm²

 = 14cm²
