Given info : if the thermal resistance is represented in terms of base quantities as M^a L^b T^c K^d.

To find : which one of the following is the maximum among them.

Solution : we know, thermal resistance , R = L/KA

Where L is thickness, A is cross sectional area and K is thermal conductivity.

dimension of L = [L]

Dimension of A = [L²]

dimension of K = [MLT¯³K¯¹]

so, dimension of thermal resistance, R = [L]/[MLT¯³K¯¹][L²] = [M¯¹L¯²T³K]

On comparing with [M^a L^b T^c K^d ]

We get, a = -1 , b = -2 , c = 3 and d = 1

Therefore the maximum value is of c among them. I.e., option (C) c is correct choice.
