Mrs Hall is one of the owners of an inn called Coach and Horses. When she is introduced to the audience for the first time, She is portrayed as an oppurtunist with lust for money. This is seen from the fact that she ignores Griffin's rudeness and gives him a room just because he is ready to pay her. The craze for money did not make her verify the syranger's identity, although she has her own doubts about him.

She is also portrayed as a dominating and firm woman. This is indicated by the way she bosses over her husband and stops serving Griffin when his rudeness crosses the limit. At times, Mrs Hall tends to become superstitious and thinks that her furniture is haunted until she knows that it is the invisible Griffin sitting on it. She also gets scared when Griffin removes his bandages and exposes himself.

Thus, Mrs Hall is portrayed as a woman with various personalities.
