a) The theme is the central idea of a poem that could be one or many. In “No Men Are Foreign,” James Kirkup, keeps on insisting on the one theme that is the “equality of mankind”. He is desperate to have the oneness of mankind, despite all the man-made differences of color, race, nationality, and faith.

b) the medicines were not bringing any positive improvement in Johnsy because she refused to eat any food and had lost all will to live. She held to the firm belief that she would not recover from her pneumonia and would die when the last leaf of the ivy creeper fell.

c) Jerome says Montmorency's ambition in life was to get in the way and he sworn at. Montmorency was a mischievous little dog who loved creating troubles for others. I think that Montmorency was a perfect nuisance because whenever he found people busy with their work, he might feel bored and wanted to get involved.

Hope this helps you!!
