Security council : The Security council is one of the six main organs of the United Nations. Its primary responsibility is to the maintain international peace and security.

Members of the security council:-

The council embraces 15 members in which five powerful countries sit as permanent members & ten non-permanent members elected for two-year terms by the General Assembly .

The permanent members are : Russia, the U.K, China, France and the United States.

And the non-permanent members are:

  1. Belgium
  2. Dominican Republic
  3. Estonia
  4. Germany
  5. Indonesia
  6. Niger
  7. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
  8. South Africa
  9. Tunisia
  10. Vietnam .
