Step-by-step explanation:

(i) 8% decrease in ₹ 400

8 % of ₹ 400 = (8/100) × 400 = ₹32

Decrease quantity = ₹ 400 - ₹ 32

= ₹ 368

(ii) 5% increase in 25 km.

5% of 25 km = (5/100) × 25

= 5/4 = 1.25 km

Increase quantity = 25 km + 1. 25 km

= 26.25 km

(iii) (12.1/2) % increase in a speed of 600 km/h

= 12. 1/2 % or 25/2 % of 600 km/h

= (25/200) × 600 = 75 km/h

Increase speed = 600km/h + 75 km/h

= 675 km/h

(iv) 30% of 40℃

= 30 \div 100 \times 40=30÷100×40

= 1200 \div 100=1200÷100

=12℃
