In reality though, plants don’t necessarily need sunlight but just light in general since they make us of the energy in the light.

Now, light from the sun and light from a bulb would be of varying intensities, but the light from the bulb is still a usable source considering the energy transmitted through the light wave.

The requirements for photosynthesis are:

Carbon dioxide (via stomata in leaves)

Water (via roots)

Light energy (usually from Sun, but really any will do)

Chlorophyll (present in the mesophyll cells in the leaf)
