Step-by-step explanation:

Let the breadth of rectangle be x

We are given that the length of a rectangle is 10m more than its breadth.

So, Lengthy of rectangle is x+10

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length+Breadth)

                                      = 2(x +10 + x)

                                      = 2(2x+10)

                                      =4x+20

We are given that perimeter is 80m

So, 4x+20= 80

4x=60

x=15

So, Breadth = 15 m

Length = 15+10 = 25 m

Hence  the dimensions of the rectangle are

15m X 25m

Given :

  • The length of a rectangle is 10 m more than its breadth.
  • The perimeter of rectangle is 80 m.

To find :

  • The dimensions of the rectangle =?

Step-by-step explanation :

Let, the breadth of the rectangle be, x.

Then, the length of the rectangle be, x + 10.

As We know that,

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth)

It is Given that,

The perimeter of rectangle is 80 m.

Now, According to the question,

➮ 80 = 2(x + 10 + x)

➮ 80 = 2 (2x + 10

➮ 80 = 4x + 20

➮ 4x = 80 - 20

➮ 4x = 60

➮ x = 60/4

➮ x = 15.

Therefore, We got the value of, x = 15.

Hence,

The breadth of the rectangle, x = 15 m.

Then, the length of the rectangle, x + 10 = 15 + 10 = 25 m.
