Talimeren Ao[1][2] (28 January 1918 – 13 September 1998) was an Indian footballer and physician. He is best known as the captain of Indian team in their first ever match. He was born on 28 January 1918 in Assam, Naga hills to the Rev. Subongwati Ningdangri Ao and his wife Maongsangla Changkilari, in the village of Changki, in the then Naga Hills District of Assam. He was the fourth of twelve children.
