Answer:

Special Structures in Plant Cells

Most organelles are common to both animal and plant cells. However, plant cells also have features that animal cells do not have: a cell wall, a large central vacuole, and plastids such as chloroplasts

--Cell Wall: this provides extra strength and support for the plant cell so it doesn't burst when gaining water by endosmosis.

---Chloroplasts: this is where photosynthesis takes place.

----Large permenant vacuole: this stores several pigments, ions, enzymes and organic and inorganic substances. It also has a great role in osmoregulation.

Three organelles that plant cells have that animals cells don't are mentioned below along with their functions:

1. Cell Wall

This structure is found only in the cells of plants and is not found in the cells of animals.

•It is not a living component and forms the outer covering or the layer of the plant cell.

•In plants, this layer is made of cellulose.

Function: Function of cell wall is to provide protection to the body of plant from any kind of mechanical stress and damage.

2. Chloroplasts

•This organelle is found in cells of plants.

•It is surrounded by two membranes around it.

•It also has a pigment called chlorophyll by which plants can perform photosynthesis.

•This organelle is not found in animals.

Function: Function of Chloroplasts is to help the green plants to prepare their food by themselves through photosynthesis.

3. Vacuoles

• This is a large organelle in size found in plant cells.

Function: This organelles has the function to store enzymes, pigments, ions, etc.
