Answer:

Explanation:

Amoeba is a holozoic organism, so it absorb food but ingest it's food.

In amoeba pseudopdia are the temporary finger like structures which helps in capturing the food particles from surrounding.

There are four steps involved in the nutrition in amoeba :

1. Ingestion

It occurs by psuedopodia and called as phagocytosis

When amoeba approaches a food particle, pseudopodia covers it and trapped in the cell named as food vocuole in the above fig.

2.Digestion

The food vocuole moves in cytoplasm and due to presence of enzymes the food digest inside the cell

3.Assimilation

Digested food from vocuole diffuses in the cell and the cell become capable for respiration and other activities

4.Egestion

There is no fixed part for egestion in amoeba so that a small rupture or hole in cell wall results in egestion of waste material. This is called Exocytosis.

Answer:

Ans:-Nutrition in Amoeba

Amoeba is an organism made up of a single cell. It is usually found in ponds and  ditches. It does not have a very structured body. When Amoeba senses food, it forms  finger-like projections called pseudopodia (pseudo, false; podium, foot), which  completely enclose the food, resulting in the formation of a space or cavity called a food  vacuole. Some digestive juices are secreted in the food vacuole and the food is  digested there. It is then absorbed and assimilated, and the undigested part is thrown

out.
