Given :-

Mass of the load = 25 kg

Number of steps = 50 steps

Height of each step = 25 cm

To Find :-

The work done by man in climbing the stairs.

Solution :-

We know that,

  • m = Mass
  • g = Gravity
  • h = Height
  • w = Work

Using the formula,

\underline{\boxed{\sf Work \ done= m\times g \times h}}

Given that,

Mass (m) = 25 kg

Gravity (g) = 10 m/s

Height (h) = 25 × 0.25

Substituting their values,

⇒ w = 25 × 10 × (25 × 0.25)

⇒ w = 25 × 10 × 6.25

⇒ w = 1562.5 J

Therefore,  the work done by man in climbing the stairs is 1562.5 J.

Answer:

Given :-

  • A 50 kg man with 25 kg load on his head climbs up 50 steps each of height 25 cm.

To Find :-

  • How much work done by man in climbing these steps.

Formula Used :-

\boxed{\bold{\large{W\: =\: m\: \times g\: \times h}}}

where,

  • W = Work Done
  • m = Mass
  • g = Gravity
  • h = Height

Solution :-

Given :

  • Mass (m) = 25 kg
  • Height (h) = 25 cm × \dfrac{25}{100} = 0.25 m = 25 × 0.25
  • Acceleration due to gravity = 10 m/s

According to the question by using the formula we get,

W = 25 × 10 × 25 × 0.25

W = 250 × 6.25

W = 1562.5 J

\therefore The work done by man in climbing these steps is 1562.5 J .
