Molar mass cf CaSO4.5H2O = [64 + 32 + (16 x 4)+ 5 (2 x 1 + 16)] = 250.

Mass of water of crystallisation = 5 ( 2 x 1 + 16) = 90.

Percentage of water of crystallisation = 90/250 x 100 = 36%
