Given :-

  • Mass of object 1 = 50 kg
  • Mass of object 2 = 120 kg
  • Distance between the two objects = 10 m

To find :-

  • Force of gravitation

Solution :-

When two objects of mass m 1 and m 2 are kept at a distance r from each other a gravitaional force of attraction is developed between them

This force is given by the formula ,

\bigstar\boxed{\mathtt{ F = \dfrac{G m_1 m_2 }{r^{2}}}}

here ,

  • G = universal gravitaional constant = 6.67 × 10^ -11 N m² /kg ²
  • m 1 = mass of object 1
  • m 2 = mas of object 2
  • r = distance between the two objects

Now let's substitute the values in the above equation

\implies\mathtt{ F = \dfrac{6.67  \times  {10}^{ - 11} \times   50 \times  120 }{100}}

\implies\mathtt{ F = 6.67  \times  {10}^{ - 11} \times   5 \times  12}

\implies\mathtt{ F = 6.67  \times  {10}^{ - 11} \times   60}

\implies\mathtt{ F = 400.02 \times  {10}^{ - 11}  N }

The force of gravitation between two objects is 400.2 × 10 ^-11 N
