★ The object in the Active voice becomes the subject in the Passive voice.

★ The subject in the Active voice becomes the object in the Passive. It's generally preceded by the word ‘by’.

★ Finite verb is changed in the past participle form and is preceded by the necessary form of the verb “to be”.

Rules for changing Direct Speech into Indirect speech :-

★ The inverted commas are omitted in the indirect speech.

★ The tense of the reporting verb should never be changed.

★ We use a linker before the Indirect speech.

★ The first letter within inverted commas will not remain capital after changing narration.

★ The pronouns should be changed according to the sense of the speech.
