Attentive listening is always having a better result not only in the exam hall but in all spheres of life. If one listens properly the directions provided by the teachers or the authorities, it helps enormously to finish the work quickly and correctly. Inattentive listening causes errors in between the works and hence brings in frustration.
Yes, I have faced a serious problem for being inattentive during my English exam once. Due to the printing error, one word was blurred in the question of paragraph writing. Teacher came and corrected it to be "world" but I thought it to be "word". So, the paragraph that I wrote was completely out of context and didn't fetch me marks.
