Given info : The perimeter of a rectangle is 18x² + 14 x - 18 metres. one of its side is - 10x² + 4x - 5 metres.

To find : the other side of the rectangle.

Solution : we know, perimeter of a rectangle is given by, P = 2(l + b)

where l is length and b is width of rectangle.

Here, P = 18x² + 14x - 18 , l = -10x² + 4x - 5

so, 18x² + 14x - 18 = 2(-10x² + 4x - 5 + b)

⇒(18x² + 14x - 18)/2 = -10x² + 4x - 5 + b

⇒9x² + 7x - 9 = -10x² + 4x - 5 + b

⇒19x² - 3x - 4 = b

Therefore the other side of the rectangle is 19x² - 3x - 4
