Since the acceleration due to gravity reduces by 36% the value of acceleration due to gravity there is 100−36=64%.

It means g'=64100g. If h is the height of location above the surface of earth then

g'=gR2(R+h)2

or 64100g=gR2(R+h2)2

810=RR+h or 8R+8h=10R

⇒h=2R8=R4=6.4×1064=1.6×106m
