Answer:

Q8: 171, Q9:

Step-by-step explanation:

Q8:-

Given,

Total No. of books bought= 1539

No. of cartons required for 1539 books= 9

A/Q

No. of books in each carton = 1539÷ 9 = 171

Q9:-

Measurement of roll of lace = 50m = (50×100)cm = 5000cm

No. of rect. table clothes = 4

Length of the rectangular table cloth = 210cm

Breadth of the rectangular table cloth = 85cm

So,

Perimeter of the rectangular table = 2(l+b)

Perimeter = 2 (210+85)cm

= 2× 295cm

= 590cm

Since, there are four rectangular table

Therefore, Perimeter of all 4 rectangles = 590×4

= 2,360cm

Now A/Q,

Total length of the lace-perimeter of 4 rect. = Lace left

5000cm-2360cm= 2640cm

Thus, 2640 cm of the lace is left

Hope It Helps
