Given:

An equilateral triangle with

  • Side = (2x + 3y - 8)

What To Find:

We have to find the sum of sides of the equilateral triangle.

How To Find:

To find the sum of sides of the equilateral triangle we know that,

All sides of equilateral triangle are equal.

Solution:

As we know that,

⇒ All sides of equilateral triangle are equal.

So it will be,

⇒ (2x + 3y - 8) + (2x + 3y - 8) + (2x + 3y - 8)

Remove the brackets,

⇒ 2x + 3y - 8 + 2x + 3y - 8 + 2x + 3y - 8

Rearrange the like terms,

2x + 2x + 2x + 3y + 3y + 3y - 8 - 8 - 8

Solve the first term,

⇒ 6x + 3y + 3y + 3y - 8 - 8 - 8

Solve the second terms,

⇒ 6x + 9y - 8 - 8 - 8

Solve the third terms,

⇒ 6x + 9y - 24

∴ So, the sum of the side of the equilateral triangle is 6x + 9y - 24.
