Answer:

The pair of equations 3x -

5y = 7 and -6x + 10y = -14 have no solutions.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given two equations are

3x - 5y = 7.....(1)

and  - 6x + 10y =  - 14.......(2)

Now we want to solve these two equations,

From equation (1),

3x - 5y = 7

3x = 7 + 5y

x =  \frac{7 + 5y}{3} .....(3)

and from equation (2),

 - 6x + 10y =  - 14

 - 6x =  - 14 - 10y

x =  \frac{10y + 14}{6} ....(4)

From equation (3) and (4),

 \frac{7 + 5y}{3}  =  \frac{10y + 14}{6}

By cross multiplication,

42 + 30y = 30y + 42

In this equation y has no solution.

Similarly x has no solution.
