Correct Question !!

Two angles are supplementary. One angle measures (2x-10) degrees. The other angle measures (3x-15) degrees. Find the value of x and give the values of angles.

Answer:-

  • Two angles are supplementary .
  • One angle = (2x-10)°
  • Another angle = (3x-15)°

We have to calculate the value of x & values of angles.

We say two angles are supplementary if their sum is 180° .

Substitute the value we get

:\implies (2x-10)° + (3x-15)° = 180°

:\implies 2x -10 + 3x -15 = 180°

:\implies 5x -25 = 180°

:\implies 5x = 180+25

:\implies 5x = 205

:\implies x = 205/5

:\implies x = 41°

  • hence, the value of x = 41°

Now, calculating each angle

• (2x-10) = 2×41-10 = 82-10 = 72°

• (3x-15) = 3×41-15 = 123 -15 = 108°

  • Hence, one angle is 72° & another angle is 108° .

Solution:-

2x - 10 + 3x - 15 = 180

2x + 3x - 10 - 15 = 180

5x - 25 = 180

5x = 205

x = 205/5

x = 41

= 2×41-10 = 82-10 = 72°

= 3×41-15 = 123 -15 = 108°
