Steps of construction:-

•Draw a line segment of desired length.
•Make a semicircle on one of the ends of the line segment.
•from the ends of the semicircle make an arc of 60° at the circle and put the compass on the point where the arc cuts the circle and make a similar arc of 120° on the circle.
•Make two points from the points where these two arcs cut the circle and let them intersect.
•join the point of their intersection to the centre if the semicircle.
•that would be the angle of 90°.
