S O L U T I O N :

\underline{\bf{Given\::}}

If the square of the hypotenuse of an Isosceles right triangle is 200 m² .

\underline{\bf{Explanation\::}}

Isosceles triangle are those triangle which has two sides are equal than third side.

A/q

Let the length of each side be x

\underline{\tt{Using\:by\:Pythagoras\:theorem\::}}

⇒ (Hypotenuse)² = (base)² + (Perpendicular)²

⇒ 200 = (x)² + (x)²

⇒ 200 = 2x²

⇒ x² = 200/2

⇒ x² = 100

⇒ x = √100

⇒ x = 10 m

Thus,

The length of each side will be 10 m .

Answer:

Question:-

If the square of the hypotenuse of an isosceles right angled triangle is 200 m², find the length of each side.

Solution:-

When we say that the right angled triangle is also isosceles, it means that the base and perpendicular are equal in length.

BY PYTHAGORAS THEOREM:-

(B)² + (P)² = (H)²

If the base and perpendicular are of equal value, we can assume their length as ‘x’.

(x)² + (x)² = (H)²

x² + x² = 200

2x² = 200

x² = 200/2

x² = 100

x = √100

x = 10

Base = 10 cm = Perpendicular

Base = 10 cm

Perpendicular = 10 cm

Hope it helps
