Given :-

  • Rs.1800 is given at 5% per annum.
  • Rs.2500 is given at 3% per annum.
  • Total Simple interest earned = Rs.660 .

To Find :-

  • Number of years for which money was given to lisa ?

Formula used :-

  • Simple interest = (Principal * Rate * Time) / 100

Solution :-

Let us assume that, after T years Simple interest on both amount will becomes Rs.660 .

Than,

(SI on Rs.1800 at 5% for T years) + (SI on Rs.2500 at 3% for T years) = Rs.660

Putting all values in SI formula we get :-

→ {(1800 * 5 * T) / 100} + {(2500 * 3 * T) / 100} = 660

→ 90T + 75T = 660

→ 165T = 660

Dividing both sides by 165,

→ T = 4 Years. (Ans.) (Option D).

Hence, Lisa will return Both amount after 4 Years.
