P(x) = x^4 + px^3 + 2x^2 - 3x + q
g(x) = x^2 - 1 = (x+1)(x-1)
By factor theorem,
P(1) = 0
=> 1 + p + 2 - 3 + q = 0
=> p + q = 0 ------(1)
P(-1) = 0
=> 1 - p + 2 + 3 + q = 0
=> 6 = p - q
=> p - q = 6 -------(2)
On adding equation 1 and 2, we get
2p = 6
=> p = 3
Now,
On putting the value of p in equation 1, we get
3 + q = 0
=> q = - 3
