Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

The Perimeter of an isosceles triangle is

The Perimeter of an isosceles triangle is12 5/12 cm and

the third side measure 2 13/12 cm.

To find:-

Find the length of each of equal

Find the length of each of equalsides

Solution:-

Let the equal sides of an Isosceles triangle be a units each

The third side(b)=2 13/12cm=37/12cm

Formula:-

If the equal sides of an Isosceles triangle 'a' units each and the third side be 'b' units then the perimeter = 2a+b units

So, The perimeter of the Isosceles triangle=

=>P=2a+(37/12)cm

=>P=(24a+37)/12 cm

But, According to the given problem

Perimeter= 12 5/12 cm=149/12 cm

Therefore,

(24a+37)/12=149/12

On cancelling 12 both sides

=>24a+37=149=>24a=149-37

=>24a=112

=>a=112/24

=>a=(14×8)/(3×8)

On cancelling 8 then

=>a=14/3cm

=>a=4 2/3 cm

Answer:-

Measure of the equal sides of the Isosceles triangle are each 4 2/3 cm.
