1. Dharmapala was a great patron of Buddhism. He revived the Nalanda university and founded the Vikramshila university which later evolved into a great learning center of Buddhism. Vikramashila had about 100 professors, and was managed by a governing body of six member.
2. Mahmud Ghazni commonly known as Mahmud of Ghazni , who ruled Ghazni from 971 to 1030 AD. So to plunder the wealth of India he made very first attack in 1001. He attacked India 17 times on India. He made his 16th attack on the Somnath temple in 1025 just to plunder the gold.

1. The earliest known Rashtrakuta inscription is a 7th-century copper plate grant detailing their rule from Manapura, a city in Central or West India. The Rashtrakuta rulers were great patrons of art and literature. Krishna I built the famous rock-cut Kailasa temple at Ellora in the latter half of the eighth century AD.
2. The struggle was between the Pratihara Empire, the Pala Empire and the Rashtrakuta Empire. Towards the end of the successor of Nagabhata II, successfully attacked Kanauj and established control there. This was short-lived as he was soon after defeated by the Rastrakuta ruler, Govinda III.
3.After the death of his father in a battle in 1179, Prithviraj Chauhan succeeded the throne. He ruled over the twin capitals of Ajmer and Delhi which he had received from his maternal grandfather, Arkpal or Anangpal III of the Tomara dynasty.
4.The administration of Chola dynasty was essentially monarchical in character where the king was at the helm of the administration and all executive legislative and military powers rested with him. A council of ministers and other high officials were there to advice the king for administration of Chola Empire.
5.To improve agriculture during Chola rule, the empire improved the irrigation facilities for better production by constructing tanks ,canals etc. A good portion of income was spent on improving the irrigation.
