When Sergei spotted Lushkoff after quite a few years, he was pleased to know that Lushkoff was living a pleasant life. He told lushkoff that he was like his godfather as he gave him a push in the right direction. He added to it by stating that he was glad that he was able to change someone's life for the better.
After hearing Sergei’s words, Lushkoff replies saying that he was extremely grateful for Sergei’s assistance. He said that he would probably still be lying and scamming others for money if it were not for Sergei. However, he says that Sergei’s cook Olga was a greater influence in deterring him from his wrong path.
He said that Olga would yell at him and call him names. However, she would also begin to weep after staring at him and would pity/empathize with him. He shockingly reveals that he never cut any wood for Sergei and it was actually Olga who chopped all the wood.
