Answer:

Solution:-

According to the Question

One equation

:\implies 8x +5y = 9

:\implies 8x = 9-5y

:\implies x = 9-5y/8 -----------(i)

Now, 2nd Equation

:\implies 3x + 2y = 4

:\implies 3x +2y -4 = 0 -----------(ii)

Substitute the value of x = 9-5y/8 in equation (ii) we get

:\implies 3(9-5y)/8 +2y -4 =0

:\implies (27-15y)/8 +2y = 4

:\implies 27-15y + 16y = 32

:\implies 27 +y = 32

:\implies y = 32-27

:\implies y = 5

Now, putting the value of y = 5 in equation (I) we get

:\implies x = 9-5×5/8

:\implies x = 9-25/8

:\implies x = -16/8

:\implies x = -2

Hence, the value of x = -2 & y = 5 .
