Qno:1 the average of four consecutive even numbers is one-fourth of the sum of these numbers. what is the difference between first and fourth numbers?

If we keep on adding 2 to the original even no. we get the next consecutive even no.
eg.2,4,6, ...
Let the first number be A .
If the numbers are even then the next numbers will be A+2 , (A+2)+2 , ((A+2)+2)+2
Hence the series of numbers will be A , A+2 ,
A+4 , A+6

So, 4th term is A+6 and the 1st term is A.
Now the difference between them is :
A+6 - A = 6.
