Solution:
DE || BC
Hence using Basic proportionality theorem ( Thales theorem)
AD/BD = AE/CE
AD = x
BD = x-2
AE=x+2
CE = x - 1
=> x/(x - 2) = (x + 2)/(x-1)
=> x² - x = x² - 4
=> x = 4
AD = 4
BD = 2
AE = 6
CE = 3
4/2 = 6/3 = 2
Value of x = 2
