 \alpha = 4 \: \beta = - 2

We know that,

 \alpha + \beta = -\frac{b}{a} \\ 4 - 2 = 2 = - \frac{b}{a} \\ ∴ - \frac{b}{a} = \frac{2}{1} \\ ∴b = - 2, a = 1

Now,

 \alpha \beta = \frac{c}{a} \\ 4 \times - 2 = \frac{c}{a} \\ - 8 = \frac{c}{a} \\ ∴c = - 8,a = 1

Thus, the quadratic equation is x²-2x-8 = 0
