Proved that, DE×BE = CE×TE.

Given

To prove that, DE×BE = CE×TE.

From the picture,

ABCD is a parallelogram.

In ΔCED and ΔBET

     ∠CED ≅ ∠BET  -----> ( They are opposite angles )

     ∠CDE ≅ ∠BTE  -----> ( They are alternate angles )

AB extends to BT.

Where, AB is parallel to CD

            BT is parallel to DC

Using AA (Angle-Angle) test, ΔCED ≅ ΔBET

Here, corresponding sides are proportional

(i.e.,)             \frac{CE}{DE} = \frac{BE}{TE}

Which tends to give,

                                 CE×TE = BE×DE

Therefore, it has been proved that, DE×BE = CE×TE.
