Question:- A circuit consists of 1 Ohm wire in series with a parallel arrangement of 6 Ohm and 3 Ohm wires. Calculate total resistance of the circuit.

Answer:-

Two resistance 6,3 r in parallel so :-

 \frac{1}{6} + \frac{1}{3} = \frac{1}{r \tiny{eq}} \\ \frac{1 + 2}{6} = \frac{1}{r \tiny{eq}} \\ \frac{ \cancel3}{ \cancel{6}^{ \: \: 2} } = \frac{1}{r \tiny{eq}} \\ {r \tiny{eq}} = 2 \: ohm

So R eq is in series with 1 Ohm

{r \tiny{(p)eq}} = (2 + 1) \: ohm = 3 \: ohm

3 Ohm is ure answer
