Answer:

168 Bullets are manufactured from the cylindrical rod.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

Spherical bullets are manufactured from a lead cylindrical rod of 21 cm long and a radius of 6 cm.We are required to find the number of bullets manufactured if diameter of each bullet is 1.5cm.

For this condition,the volume remains same while making bullets.

Let the number of bullets be n therefore we mathematically write it as

V_{cylinder}=n\times V_{bullet}

Now the volume of the cylinder is given by the relation

V_{cylinder}=\pi r^{2}h

And the volume of spherical bullets is given by the relation

V_{bullet}=\frac{4}{3} \pi r_{s}^{3}

Equating both the volumes based on above relation,we get

\pi r^{2}h=\frac{4}{3}\pi r_{s}^{3}\times n

Substituting the known dimensions in above relation,we get

6^{2}\times21=\frac{4}{3}\times1.5^{3}\times n\\ = > n=168

Therefore number of bullets manufactured are 168
