An electric generator converts mechanical energy into electrical energy. The principle behind the electric motor is based on Fleming s right hand rule. when a coil of insulated copper wire is forced to rotate inside a magnetic field then electric current is induced. ... The direction of current in the coil is PQRS.

 \bf{ working \: of \: electric \: geneator}

There are two types of generator :

A.C generator and D.C generator.

>> The principal of working of an A.C generator is based on electro magnetic induction.

>> When the number of magnetic linea of forces through a clases loop changes , induced emf and an induced current is produced in the loop.

>> The working of both the A.C and D.C generator is same but in A.C the direction of current keeps on changing while in D.C it is not like this.

>> By using Flaming's right hand rule we can find the direction of Induced current
