given :-

diameter of the cylinder = 7m

therefore it's radius = 7/2m

height of the cylinder = 20m

we have to find the cost of painting outside the cylinder @ of rupees 5 per m²

so first of all, let's find it's TSA (total surface area)

formula to find TSA of a cylinder is 2πrh + 2πr²

TSA of the cylinder = (2 × 22/7 × 7/2 × 20) + (2 × 22/7 × 7/2 × 7/2)

= (44 × 10) + (22 × 7/2)

= 440 + (11 × 7)

= 440 + 77

= 517m²

hence, total cost of painting = 517 × 5

= rupees 2585
