Question (1) :- How many bricks of size 18cm x 12cm x 10cm are required to build a platform in the shape of a cube of edge 3m. ?

Solution :-

we know that,

  • Volume of cube = (side)³ .
  • Volume of cuboid = Length * Breadth * Height .
  • 1m = 100 cm.

so,

→ Total number of bricks required = (Volume of platform) / (Volume of a brick) = (300 * 300 * 300) / (18 * 12 * 10) = 12,500 (Ans.)

Question (2) :- Find height of a cuboid whose volume is 342m³ and area of the base is 28.5m². ?

Solution :-

we know that,

  • Volume of cuboid = Length * Breadth * Height .
  • Base Area of cuboid = Length * Breadth .

so,

→ Height of cuboid = (Volume) / (Base Area) = (342/28.5) = 12 m . (Ans.)
