Que.5) Raman was going on a trip to Shimla with his family.While passing through the highway he noticed a sign board indicating the speed limit of 50km/h .He observed the two meters fitted in the dashboard of his car.The reading shown on one meter was approximately 50 while that on the other metre was very high.Raman was very curious to know about both the meters.His father explained him the use of the both the meter. Ans .1) Speedometer – The speedometer is a gauge that indicates the current speed the vehicle is traveling.(the one which showed reading approx 50 km/h).

Tachometer – The tachometer’s job is to display the speed of the engine in revolutions per minute or RPMs. Because transmissions have many gears, the speed of the car does not match engine speed and transmission gears are designed to convert the speed of the engine into acceleration and performance (the one with very high reading).

Ans .2) In order to prevent any accident from happening as in mountains there are turns everywhere, the vehicle can skid or slip if the speed limit is not followed.
