squared tiles.
If each square tile is of side 0.5
m, then find the number of tiles
required to cover

area of rectangle room = L×B

= 3m×4m

= 12m sq.

area of 1 tile = (side) sq.

= 0.5 m x 0.5 m

= 0.25 m sq.

no.of tiles required =

area of rectangle room / area of 1 tile

12m sq. /. 0.25

48 tiles are required
