Heya,

According to the question,

Depth of river (height) = 3 m

Width of river = 40 m

Water is flowing at the speed of 2 km per hour. (length)

As, the question is asking for minutes, so we will first convert rate of water flowing into meter per minutes.

=> Rate of flow of water = 2 km/hr

=> 2 × 1000/60

=> 200/6

=> 100/3 meter/min

The amount of water that fall into sea in a min = 3 × 40 × 100/3

= 40 × 100

= 4000 m³

As, we know 1 m³ = 1000 liters

So,
4000 m³ = 4,000,000 liters

Therefore the amount of water falls into the sea in a minute = 4,000,000 liters.

Hope this helps....:)
