Let the original cost price be Rs 100.

selling price to get a loss 5% = Rs 95

Difference in selling price = Rs10 = If the difference is Rs.10,

then original cost price Rs 100

If the difference is Rs.16.50, then original cost

price = ( \frac{100}{10} ) \times 16.50 = Rs \: 165
