Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Q.1

Answer :- The angle which is equal to complement

Let the two complementary angles be x and y.

Then , x + y = 90°.

But according to the question, the angle is equal to its complement.

i.e   x = y . Using this in the above equation,

⇒ x + x = 90

⇒    2x  = 90

⇒     x    = 45°

∴ The angle which is equal to complement is 45°

The angle which is equal to supplement

Let the two supplementary angles be x and y.

Then , x + y = 180°.

But according to the question, the angle is equal to its supplement.

i.e   x = y . Using this in the above equation,

⇒ x + x = 180

⇒    2x  = 180

⇒     x    = 90°

∴ The angle which is equal to supplement is 90°

Q.2

Answer :- Supplementary angle-180°

Smaller angle-x

Larger angle-x+36

Measures -x+x+36=180

2x+36=180

2x=180-36

2x=144

x=72

smaller angle=72

larger angle=72+36=108

Hope it helps you

1.......

=>

Let the angle be x, put x+x=180∘, and then find the value of x to solve the question. We have to find the angle which is equal to its supplement. Let the angle be x. Hence, the angle which is equal to its supplement is 90 degrees.

2.....

=>

let x = measure of smaller angle

then

x+36 = measure of larger angle

x + x+36 = 180

2x+36 = 180

2x = 144

x = 72 degrees (smaller angle)

.Larger angle:

x+36 = 72+36 = 108 degrees (larger angle)
