Solution:

 area of a equilateral triangle=\frac{\sqrt{3} }{4} a^2

 area of a circle =π r^2

now ,

The area of the shaded region =area of circle -area of triangle

=3.14X32^2-\frac{\sqrt{3} }{4} (28)

=3.14X1024-7\sqrt{3} \\\\=3215.36-7\sqrt{3}\\\\=3215.36 -7^2X3^\frac{1}{2}^X^2 \\\\=3215.36 -49X3\\\\=3215.36-147\\\\=3068.36 cm^2

∴The area of the shaded region is 3068.36 cm.sq
