Ques.6 : What is the meaning of “My cat was back and so was I”? Had the author gone anywhere? Why does he say that he is also back?

The author meant to say that when the cat came back again into his life, he felt alive once again. He came back to life from a death-like state. He had not gone anywhere literally.
