Answer:

1) The skeletal system is our body's central framework. It consists of bones and connective tissue, including cartilage, tendons, and ligaments. It's also called the musculoskeletal system

2) A structure in the human or animal body at which two parts of the skeleton are fitted together.

There are six types of freely movable diarthrosis (synovial) joints:

i)Ball and socket joint. Permitting movement in all directions, the ball and socket joint features the rounded head of one bone sitting in the cup of another bone. ...

ii)Hinge joint. ...

iii)Condyloid joint. ...

iv)Pivot joint. ...

v)Gliding joint. ...

vi)Saddle joint

3) Muscles are attached to bones by tendons and help them to move. When a muscle contracts (bunches up), it gets shorter and so pulls on the bone it is attached to. When a muscle relaxes, it goes back to its normal size. Muscles can only pull and cannot push.

4) The ribs are the bony framework of the thoracic cavity. The ribs form the main structure of the thoracic cage protecting the thoracic organs, however their main function is to aid respiration.
